Headteacher's Welcome

Thank you for visiting our website. I hope it gives you an insight into life at our school, as well as essential information and resources for parents to support their children’s learning journey.

If you have any questions, or want to view the school in person, please contact our school office.

Hamilton Academy is a large and historic school, dating back to 1875. We have a Nursery and a three-form intake from Reception up to Year 6. We are split over two sites in the heart of High Wycombe, and serve a diverse multi-cultural and multi-faith community.

At Hamilton, we strive to ensure that all cultures are embraced and that all children show real respect for each other and our school. We are proud of being a caring and supportive school and it is our aim to provide a learning environment where every child is encouraged to succeed.

We have a dedicated staff committed to providing a high quality education for all our pupils. We offer a well-balanced and stimulating curriculum that encourages children to develop positive attitudes to their learning. We set high standards and have high expectations for all our children in their learning and behaviour.

During a child’s time here, we hope all the family will develop a sense of belonging and ownership towards the school, and that their involvement with us will always be positive. We very much value the role of parents in the education of their child, and want to continue to strengthen the partnership between home and school; we are always keen to listen to parental ideas or concerns.

Our overarching aim at Hamilton is to provide the best possible education for our children. We believe it is important that the school is a happy place, which children are excited to come to and proud to be a part of. I certainly feel it is a privilege to lead such an exciting and diverse school, where every child is valued and every achievement celebrated.
