Lunchtimes / Menus
Lunchtimes
Hamilton Academy is pleased to be able to offer all pupils the opportunity to have a hot meal at lunchtime.
Menus
The normal menu is priced at £2.45 per child.
Children are able to choose between 2-3 meal options each day. This will always include a vegetarian option and most days will also have a halal meat option. Our menus are nutritionally balanced and run on a 3-week cycle. The children make their selection from the menu on the day, as making choices is part of enabling the children to become independent thinkers and learners.

for parents to support their children in making allergy conscious food choices from the menu.
Payment is via the cashless ParentMail system. ParentMail allows you to put money on your child’s account and then they can 'buy' a lunch.
If you have an Android or Apple smartphone, we highly recommend that you download the free ParentMail App so that you can receive and respond to school communications, and make easy, online payments on the go. To do this, simply search for “Iris ParentMail” in your APP store.
***FREE SCHOOL MEALS FOR Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children ***
As part of the Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) legislation, the children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 are able to have a free meal daily in term time. All children will be offered a meal – but parents have the choice not to participate by sending their child in with a packed lunch.
FREE SCHOOL MEALS AND PUPIL PREMIUM
For children whose parents are on a low income or on benefits the school strongly encourage you to also register for "Free School Meals" as this is the trigger for the additional Pupil Premium payment to the school from the government. These funds are a very important part of the income the school uses to enhance the children's learning. The process for applying is very simple. A form was sent to all new Reception students with the admissions pack and further copies are available from the Priory Road office, or click here.
